SUDEENLY DURING LAST WEEK OF JUNE HE WAS DIAGONSED WITH HIGH PRESSURE ( 200 / 140 ) WITH BRONCHIAL DISORDER. LOCAL DOCTOR WAS SHOWN. SUBSEQUENT TO INTAKE OF HIS MEDICINE PRESSURE FELL VERY SHARPLY (96 / 60) AND HE WAS VERY WEEK.
IMMEDIATELY ON 29.06.2011 HE WAS ADMITTED TO FORTIS HOSPITAL UNDER DR YASESH PALLIWAL.
ALL PRESCRIPTIONS / TEST PERFORMED SINCE BEGINNING DURING HIS STAY IN FORTIS HOSPITAL IS ENCLOSED UNDER ANNEX –C ( ZIP FILE – FORTIS.ZIP ).
HE STAYED THERE FOR 8 DAYS AND AS HIS CONDITION WAS STABLE HE WAS RELEASED ON 06.07.2011.

your files are not attached here.. as your father is a smoker and diagnosed to have copd, the reasons for increased sleepiness will be 1. carbon dioxide retention - as he is stable now get a ABG(arterial blood gas) analysis done in any hosp.. if co2 is high (more than 45) his copd treatment is not optimum. 2. overlap syndrome - copd with obstructive sleep apnea. it is common to have sleep apnea in pts with copd. if he has excessive day time sleepiness, choking, snoring, fatigue, tiredness or comorbidities ( diabetes, htn, stroke) he shud undergo sleep study which will diagnose the case.
