Suggest Treatment For Sleeplessness Despite Taking Antidepressants

I keep telling my doctor I do not sleep good at night. 3-4 hours, and sometimes that is interrupted. At times thru the day, I may fall asleep watching TV for maybe 20-60 min, because I am so exhausted. Plus in addition I have told him for years that I have short term Memory. Trouble concentration also. I know this is all linked to not enough sleep. He consistently prescribes to me anti depression pills. that ultimately have side effects of what allies me.

Hello,

Try these measures- Go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, including on the weekends. Bed is only to sleep do not read book or use phone on bed. Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, relaxing, and at a comfortable temperature. Remove electronic devices, such as TVs, computers, and smart phones, from the bedroom. Avoid large meals, caffeine, smoking and alcohol before bedtime. Get some exercise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rohit Kothari
