Suggest Treatment For Small Brown Spots On The Lower Back

I have small brown spots on my lower back on both sides just off the spine. I just had a massage yesterday and this area was worked on quite a bit as it was all knotted up. What could these be? Bruises or? This happened once before a few months ago, but just on one side. My old massage therapist is the one that noticed it and then refused to work on that area. I think she was concerned she injured it.

Hello,

It could be a bruise probably. It can happen after the forceful massage. As of now, no definite treatment is required.

You can wait for few days for spontaneous recovery. If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
