Suggest Treatment For Small Bump On The Back Of The Neck
I am a non smoking 47yr old woman...rarely drink and i have a small lump on the back of my neck upper right side just under my hairline that is not tender to the touch but i can feel it when i put my finger on it only. I also have tenderness on the bottom right side of my hairline

It can be caused by an infection in the hair follicles, by chemical irritation or by physical irritation (for example, shaving or friction from clothing). The treatment consist in topical antibiotics, oral antibiotics, or antifungal drugs that may be used to treat infections associated with folliculitis, depending on the underlying cause. Treatment also involves preventing further damage to the hair follicles. Steps that can help achieve this goal include: -Minimizing friction from clothing -Not shaving in the affected area, if possible.
