Had small bumps on temple area. They then turned to about a nickle size, slightly raised circular red spot. It is tender to the touch at times, feels tight. The area right outside ear by sideburn is tender to touch and have notice two tight small tight knots behind eat and upper neck- tight and tender to touch. Any thoughts?
It seems to be folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicles. I would recommend you to take a course of oral and topical antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicine. I would recommend you to take tablet Cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days and apply Neosporin ointment on the affected areas twice daily. Also, take tablet Ibuprofen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
