Suggest Treatment For Small Bumps On The Labia Majora

I have had a bump come up on my leg right next to my vaginal area and I don t know if it is a skin tag or a genital wart or what exactly because sometimes I have had bumps from shaving to come up. But this one is almost like a skin tag yet is connected to the skin like a wart or pimple almost.

Hi.

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Bumps in Labia can result from your simple hair removal technique to minor infectious conditions like sebaceous cyst or Fordyce spots, Bartholin's cyst, genital herpes or warts.
I advice you to,
-Use body wash like benzoyl peroxide 5% prior to your  hair removal techniques.
- a course of Antibiotics (tab. Amoxiclav 625mg twice daily) if needed
-Daily Sitz bath
- Analgesics( Ibuprofen ) to get relieved of pain
- Avoid using tampons as it may worsen your symptoms
- wear cotton innerwear.
- Maintain good hygiene.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
