Suggest Treatment For Small Bumps On The Shoulder

My wife was bitten on the arm 3 times and on top of her shoulder 4 times. the bites turned red,especially the arm. After 3 days she finally went to the DR. She has had pain off and on during the days. The Dr. did not identify the bites. The 3 bites on the arm looked like 3 pimples. The Dr. gave her antibiotic salve to put on the bite area. After one day she had some relief but tonight she said iit is bothering her again. Any suggestions?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small bumps on the shoulder. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infections of bacteria or viruses , hives from , reaction to an irritant or allergen , angiodema, contact dermatitis or eczema. I would suggest you to clean bump with betadine , wear loose cloths , apply petroleum jelly , protect it from sun exposure and take anti histamine like bendryl . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like skin patch test , blood test and physical examination to check tenderness and consistency. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , immunosuppressnats , corticosteroid ointment or recommend surgical excision .
