Suggest Treatment For Small Itchy Bumps On The Inner Thighs

A few weeks ago my husband noticed two bumps about the size of a dime on his inner thigh. About a week later a slightly smaller one appeared on his scrotum. That one has healed and gone away but now he has one on his penis and the two on his inner thigh all three are itchy but hurt when scratched or rubbed by clothing and all three now have black dots in the center. Is this something we should be concerned about?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of small itchy bumps on the inner thighs which seems to be due to hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis and it could be due to furuncle or boil. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply topical antibacterial ointment and wear loose clothes. You should avoid any clothes which cause friction as it will lead to heat generation. You should avoid sharing your clothes with someone and avoid taking anyone's clothes. Avoid touching or pricking it with sharp object. You should take course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep area little dry. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting. Start treatment after complete examination and proper prescription.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
