Suggest Treatment For Small Painful Knot Inside The Upper Lip
My boyfriend has a small BB sized, hard knot inside his upper lip. It is only feel able from the inside with no evidence of lesion on the outside. It is as far up in the inner lip line as it can be bordering the fold over. He says it is slightly painful to touch. He is a 58 year ols smoker with a history of One basal cell on his back

Your Bf has a small painful knot inside the upper lip. It is painful. He also has history of one basal on his back. Treatment for bumps on the lips depends upon the cause. Infections are treated with antifungal and antiviral medications along with antibiotics. For allergic reactions and dermatitis he can take antihistamine medications to reverse inflammatory reactions.
He is suggested to get it clinically examined and evaluated by a GP. He will have to go through few tests and investigations. He will be accordingly treated. Canker sores and oral herpes can be treated but they can’t be permanently cured. Oral cancer can involve more extensive treatments, like surgery to remove the cancerous lesion. Get him examined and treated at the earliest. Help him stay away from addictions if any.
