Suggest Treatment For Small Pus Filled Lumps On The Shoulder Blade , Hip And Buttock

I have 3 spots that fill with a thick fluid that smells. One below my arm pit, one high up on my spine in between my shoulder blades, and one on my left hip lower lumbar. It takes months to create a bum to be squeezed out but never turns red or is discolored. They have been present for many years. What can I do to eliminate this??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
Your history suggest more of sebaceous cyst.
The sebaceous glands are oil producing glands, that when the duct blocked, changes into a cyst.
If i were your treating doctor, then i would advise.
1) If the cyst doesn't bother you, or not causing any cosmetic problem, then they can be left alone.
2) surgical excision of the entire cyst can be done, this produce excellent results, and prevents recurrence.
3) Maintain adequate hygiene. use antiseptic soap, keep the region moisture free, would help a lot.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
