Suggest Treatment For Small Tumor On The Joint Of Finger

Hi, my age 21, male, 5'5". Height and 52 weight. My right hand index finger in middle of 1st and 2nd joint there is a small tumor. I came to know from xray. Doctor suggested to alp test and he said it was to be removed by surgery and sent to biopsy test to know what is this. May I know more details about it,

The details about it may be more from the biopsy. Is the tumor painful ? The tumour whatever it may be of, it may be can removed by surgery only
