Suggest Treatment For Soft Lump Between Collarbone And Windpipe
Hi, I have an egg shaped lump appear between my windpipe and collarbone recently. I have been suffering with 10,000 ectopic beats per day for almost 1 year. Advised to take 3x40mg Propanolol per day (they do not work at all). Extra beats are coming from right ventricle. I suffer occasional dizzy spells. I have recently had dull pain behind my eyes and I feel the muscles in my jaw are tired when I chew. I am also more tired than usual. End of my tether. Last time I saw Doc was March this year. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
It could be either a Lymph node or a localized fat collection (Lipoma). Both are harmless condition and doesn't need to be taken out. A lymph node will reduce in size by itself overtime but a lipoma will not reduce in size but may grow. Also, if it is a lymph node there will be some other cause of its enlargement which need to be found. Hence, it is necessary to know what it is exactly. In that regard I advice you to get FNAC test of the swelling and revert back with reports.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
