Suggest Treatment For Soft Pea-sized Lump Behind Ear

Hi I have a soft squishy pea sized lump behind my ear. I have had it for about 3 months and today I have just noticed it's turned kind of purple. For the past week or so I have had slight pain from my left ear down to my neck and a strange headache I've never felt before. I spoke to my Dr a month ago who told me the it's more than likely a lymph node and may never go away, but as I've had this neck pain and sore head the past week I'm staying to worry. I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain a soft pea sized lump behind the ear along with pain in ear and headache can be due to infection in ear and the pea sized lump seems to be due to swollen lymph nodes..
The other causes of pea sized lump can be sebaceous cyst, lipoma or an abscess..
I would suggest you to consult a General Physician or a General Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and even a biopsy can be advised to confirm the cause..
In case if it is due to infection antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers and warm compresses can be advised..
Other conditions can be treated according to the cause..
