Suggest Treatment For Sore And Burning Penis With Redness On Foreskin

Sore on penis and redness on foreskin, had the same thing last year at this time. The Doctor said it looked like Balantitis, they give me this cream called Nystatin. It irritatated it then and it irritates it now. Neosporin doest help at all easier. Burns the skin when urinating due to the open sore.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to balantitis.
I suggest using a steroid cream for local application such as one percent hydrocortisone, for the swelling.
I also suggest using oral antibiotics if the symptoms continue.
I recommend to maintain a good hygiene .

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
