Suggest Treatment For Sore And Swollen Arm After IV
i had colitis and was in the hospital for 4 days with an iv in me all 4 days. i was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon but my arm is very sore and swollen and i cannot extend my arm. it is almost as if my arm is stuck in the position it was in for so many days due to the iv. is this normal? what can I do to make it better quick?
Hi Welcome to HCM. GENERALLY IT IS NOT .BUT SOMETIMES AS SOME OF FLUID may came out of vessel to the subcutaneous space,IT CAUSES swelling.however gradually it will subside. Local application of thrombophobe gel will be of some use.
