Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Ive developed a hard lump right underneath my belly b., I felt it cuz my belly button was sore, and it would hurt to the touch, but two or three days later the soreness went away, but the lump is still there...but no pain no soreness. its just there.
As per my clinical experience, the hard lump below navel after initial soreness and pain indicates post inflammatory lump most likely secondary to bacterial infection. My guidelines for better recovery: - Local application of ice 3 times a day - Prescription of oral antibiotics as cephalexin anti-inflammatory as diclofenac with serratiopeptidase are very essential even though there is no pain or soreness to get it resolved without infection flare up - Avoid tight jeans
Remain in regular follow up with your primary care to get is observed for the resolution aspects as one may need an ultrasound or incision and drainage in selected cases as well.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
