Suggest Treatment For Sore Like Rash On Calf

I have a very bad looking sore or rash whatever it is on the calf of my leg. A doctor told me it looked like shingles and since a take valtrex anyway he said that would be all he could do for it. That was 5 months ago. I let it go because it gets better and then gets worse. Now it is really causing me a problem. I have a Dr. appt. tomorrow but it looks like my leg and foot are swelling and the pain is worse. Should I go to urgent care or just try to wait till tomorrow?

Shingles generally presents with grouped vesicular lesions in a dermatomal pattern. It can be extremely painful. It can be treated with Acyclovir or valacyclovir tablets. You may take pain killers like ibuprofen along with it.The pain may persist for about a month or so due to neuralgia.
