Suggest Treatment For Sore Lower Legs After Physical Activity

I recently started playing football earlier this year and halfway through this season I have had extremely sore lower legs near my shin. So I went to physiotherapy which helped for a while then stopped. Over the past 2 weeks the pain has been getting worse, instead of just while I m playing sport or training it now carries on after the activity and over a few days, I played two games this week and the pain is unbearable, it hurts walking, sitting etc. and it s also swollen and tender to touch. I don t know what to do to help the pain nor what the intial problem is. Please help! Libby.

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com You describe a situation where you need to stretch before you exercise. Please note that you will benefit from pre-treatment with ibuprofen 600mg before the game and also after the game, This is common for those restarting sports. Your tendons and muscles get inflamed and will take a couple or weeks to adjust. I hope this helps. Thanks a good luck
