Suggest Treatment For Sore Protrusion Near Thumb

When I bend my thumbs, I noticed some protrusions that are sore to the touch. I have been doing a 21 day purification and didn t know if that could have caused these to appear. I have never had anything like this before. It s not that noticeable until I really bend the thumbs down. What would be your prediction? I take no meds, healthy, 56 yrs. old, eat well, etc. Just curious about your thoughts. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

21 days of purification would not cause such a problem described in your question. Soreness could be due to some accidental injury to the area without your knowledge. I would recommend you to apply some emollient to the area and wait for a few days. If the problem doesn't resolve then please seek a dermatologist's advice.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
