General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Sore throat and chest pain is suggestive of possible acute viral infection if no pus is noted locally in your throat.

It will take a few more days for you to get better.
You should take:
- plenty of fluids (especially tea and plain water) to keep well hydrated
- take anti-histaminic drugs (e.g. ketotifen or benadryl) orally
- keep a good oral hygiene
- anti-inflammatory meds: paracetamol or ibuprofen

If still no improvement within a few more days, should consult with your doctor as you might need prescription meds.

Wish fast recovery.
