Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had an issue with sore throat, chest pressure, and overwhelming fatigue for @ 30 years. It seems to be aggravated by stress. I ve been tested for Mono, Strep Throat, etc. We thought we d found an answer when I was diagnosed with a severe vitamin D and B deficiency,as well as being Anemic (anemia runs in my family). I m also a Type II Diabetic with A1C readings of 6.0. It s have toyed with fibromyalgia, but I don t fit the symptoms. Is CFS a possibility? Or, any other suggestions?
For the chronic sore throat i suggest to meet a otolaryngologist for the necessary investigations.
If you have stabilised your hemoglobin levels, anemia is not the cause of your tiredness.Y our Tip2 Diabetes is under perfect control so i think it is not the cause of your overwhelming fatigue. Fibromyalgia is a disorder that can be accompanied by fatigue. For this reason i think it is necessary to meet a rheumatologist for further investigations. Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a debilitating disorder characterized by extreme fatigue or tiredness that doesn’t go away with rest, and can’t be explained by an underlying medical condition. So, Yes CFS can be a possible cause of your condition. My advice is to discuss with your treating Doctor because it is necessary to make a accurate differential diagnosis.
Best regards. Dr Elona
