Hi. I was seen at a walk in clinic for a rash and sore throat, throat clearing. My main concern was my rash in which is getting worse. I swabbed for a rapid strep test which back faintly positive. So the nurse practitioner sent out a culture. I am awaiting those results. How accurate are the rapid results? I was sick with a bad sinus infection before this and put on Augmentin. I had a 100.6 fever with the infection. The nurse practitioner did not want to put me on an antibiotic cause I was just on one.
