I Have gone thru your query regarding
sore throat and unproductive cough .
Dear , It is a matter of concern . It is no doubt irritating but not a cause of worry .
.1 .It is the outcome of swollen tonsils which block the throat ,due to wrong practise of taking cold foods after hot foods or vice versa . Changing this practice will help you to be out of such troubles .
2.Allergies, dry air, and outdoor pollution, as well as illnesses like the
common cold, flu, measles,
chickenpox , all cause sore throat and variety of coughs .
These illnesses are all viral infections that will not respond to antibiotic.That is why intake of antibiotics for 5 days could not help you cure .
Intake of only medicines will not help cure .
Home treatment is usually all that is needed for a sore throat caused by a virus. These tips may help you feel better.
Gargle with warm salt water to help reduce swelling and relieve discomfort:
Take a small pinch of salt . Keep it in your throat and fill your mouth with tolerable hot water . Rotate till you can hold this water and salt in your throat for 20-30 seconds and gulp it . IF you have HBP , spit out the salty water .
Licorice root an inch of it's piece , chewed and sucked its juice , long been used to treat sore throats . Also It is effective when crushed and mixed with water and filtered , to create a gargle solution.
Peppermint has menthol, which helps thin mucus and calm sore throats and coughs. peppermint contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and
antiviral properties, which may help encourage healing.
Prevent
dehydration. Fluids may help thin secretions and soothe an irritated throat. Hot fluids, such as basil / chamomile tea or soup, may help decrease
throat irritation.
A simple remedy for this is , little modification in your life style and food habits , which can do wonders to eradicate your health problems leaving you healthy ever after .
For your info , modifying your life style and food habits - including essential nutrients - fiber ,vitamins ,minerals and antioxidants in natural form like lemon,ginger ,garlic , green veges & fruit ,
aloe vera ,and regular physical activity all help strengthen your immunity and give resistance from ill health .
