Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Chest Pain And Dry Cough

I started with sore throat and chest pain eight days ago. I thought that with rest and plenty of fluids it would progress through other cold symptoms and go away. Instead, I m stuck with a dry cough in addition to the original symptoms. I do have a runny nose occasionally as well as sneezing once in awhile. I do have seasonal allergies. I started taking over-the-counter 1200mg Guaifenesin two days ago. The coughing seems to be less but the chest pain and sore throat are unchanged.

Hello

As you explain the situation you can add in the current treatment Ibrufen 400 mg twice orally. It will help you with the larynx and with the cough also. Try also not to speak so much these days for the voice to be in queity.

Regards

Dr.Jolanda
