Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Productive Cough And Wheezing

I have been sick 6 weeks now. Started with a soar throat and then I was down and out in bed sick for about two weeks, just tired all the time coughing and coughing up phlegm, just felt tired and run down. My doctor swabbed me for pertussis/negative, I have been on 2 bouts of antibiotic, I have used muchinex, I have used cough syrup with codeine, I have used Tessalon pearls for the cough, she has prescribed me 3 different puffers, I have had my sputum tested twice/one is still pending, I have had 2 chest x-rays/both negative and yet I and still have violent bouts of coughing, and coughing up phlegm. Night time is the worse when I lay down. I have wheezing, you name it and yet no one has a answer for me. They say it s allergy related. don t know how it s allergy related when it has been a continuation of 6 weeks.??? do you have any suggestions

dear user

about your question i would like to tell you that these symptoms you mentioned refer mainly to have lung infection bacterial or viral or having what is called bronchial asthma.........your feeling of these symptoms should not make you worry as it is common problem but you should take it seriously........about what to do that you should first avoid any factors that exacerbate your wheezing chest like cold exposure and irritative spicy food and any odours like perfume and smoking or being in aplace of smokers avoid also any severe effort or excercise as it will get you worse .....preferrly refer to chest doctor to examine your lungs ........you may need to do x ray of chest to role out any lung problems...... you should be away from stress and anxiety and spicy foods because these will get symptoms worse.......you should also drink alot of warm fluids that will make you better .. .....you can gargle your throat with saline as simply it helps to decontaminate your throat. .......some times we require throat swab or sputum examination for investigation if symptoms get worse but now you not need that..........if bacterial infection suggested you will prescribed antibiotic according to antibiotic sensitivity test as it is antibiotic has great role in treatment of throat and chest infection.....you may have bronchial asthma and infection worse the symptoms...........wish you healthy life
