Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

I had a sore throat a week ago and went in for a throat culture. They treated me with a z-pak but did not think I had strep. Doctor called today and said the throat culture came back with both enterodacter cloacae and pseudomonas aeruginosa. They are calling in sipro but asked that i see an infectious specialist. what does this mean?

Hello,

Yes, what is problem in visiting infection specialist as he will prescribe the necessary antibiotic. Usually, the antibiotic is given in accordance with local antibiotic susceptibility.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
