Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I get extremely sore throats every 2 to 3 months that last about a 2 weeks. I have went to the doctor, but they tell me that they don't see anything wrong and send me home. It hurts extremely bad to swollow. I do try to drink tea, but I feel like it makes my throat really dry. My lymph nodes usually get swollen, but as of right now it is only my left one. I haven't really noticed my tonsils swell, and my mother told me she didn't see any white or yellow spots. My voice is quite raspy from it all.
I haven't had any cough, no sneezing or runny nose.
Last time is went to the doctors for it they tested me for strep throat, but I didn't have it.
I'm just in a lot of pain and I don't know what to do at this point.
1.Reccurent sore throat with difficulty in swallowing - could be infective / inflammatory changes in the throat. 2.As a remedy you get mild warm water with salt gargling 2 - 3 times a day will help to reduce oedema and help in swallowing and heals at times. 3.However in this case you need to see ENT specialist who will examine thoroughly, weather presence of any process. 4.Lymphnodal enlargement is seen i presence of infective / inflammatory cause - could be localised or systemic. 5.If you are not happy with treatment and you are symptomatic, you can see different doctor for your satisfaction and further evaluation of the pathology.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
