Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat
Hi there i have a really bad sore throat i cant talk at All i cant eat not even swallow my own saliva is there anything i can do to reduce the pain? I gargole my mouth with salt and water im drinking antibiotics trying to eat icecream doesnt help eaither

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat which seems to be due to infection by strep throat.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- start with warm saline gargles and betadine gargles 3-4 times a day.
- For pain and swelling you should take ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
- Avoid hot, sharp , spicy food substances , do warm saline rinses and carbonated beverages.
Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like strep throat and viral infection . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (penicillin or amoxicillin ) or anti viral drug depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestants and anti inflammatory .
