Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your symptoms you are suffering from sore throat due to Viral Infection. Difficulty in swallowing & redness in throat is due to it
Following remedies may be done
1.Salt Water Gargle- Mix 1 tsp of salt with warm water in a glass. Gargle for roughly 15-20 seconds and spit out. You can repeat this as needed for 2-3 days. Remember to spit the water rather swallowing it.
2.Take anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen/acetaminophen it will reduce pain & swelling.
3.Take antibiotic like Azithromycin or Augmentin.
4.Take liquid diet, drink plenty of water & Take rest.

You will start improving in 3 to 4 days.If problem persist visit a physician

Hope this information helps.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your query it seems that you have bacterial throat infection
[Strep throat] and when the infection becomes generalized as the bacteria reaches the blood circulation the body tries to defend the infection and rise in temperature is the part of body's self immunity to fight against infection..

As you have genital herpes or HSV 2 it can also cause fever and swollen lymph nodes but it is mostly, almost always associated with cold and flu like symptoms..

So I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get thoroughly evaluated and he can also do a throat swab culture for bacterial as well as viral infection to rule out the exact cause of infection..

If it is bacterial [strep] infection antibiotics like Azithromycin or Clarithromycin can be given along with painkillers and advising warm saline gargles.
Tylenol can be given to reduce fever..

In case of Viral infection antiviral medications like Acyclovir can be advised..

As of now do warm saline gargles and take Acetaminophen [tylenol] for reducing fever and throat pain..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
