Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
As per your query it seems that you have bacterial
throat infection [Strep throat] and when the infection becomes generalized as the bacteria reaches the blood circulation the body tries to defend the infection and rise in temperature is the part of body's self immunity to fight against infection..
As you have
genital herpes or HSV 2 it can also cause fever and
swollen lymph nodes but it is mostly, almost always associated with cold and flu like symptoms..
So I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get thoroughly evaluated and he can also do a throat swab culture for bacterial as well as viral infection to rule out the exact cause of infection..
If it is bacterial [strep] infection antibiotics like Azithromycin or
Clarithromycin can be given along with painkillers and advising warm saline gargles.
Tylenol can be given to reduce fever..
In case of Viral infection antiviral medications like Acyclovir can be advised..
As of now do warm saline gargles and take
Acetaminophen [tylenol] for reducing fever and throat pain..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
