Hi, By 'hbsag' do you mean he was Hepatitis B positive and is negative since March 16? If the test is now negative, the cause of pain may be different. How old is he? Since you say he is your father, I am presuming he is over sixty years old. Pain in both legs and swelling in one may be due to many causes. Commonest is varicose veins that can cause pain around ankles with or without swelling. I would suggest (PRICE) Physiotherapy---gentle massage upwards with any warm mineral oil
Rest
Ice--ice fomentation 10 minutes three times a day
Compression--with an elastocrepe bandage
Elevation--keep legs raised on two pillows
This should work. But if there is no improvement in two days--do show him to his doctor. Regards
