Suggest Treatment For Soreness In Hand After Injury From Iron Wire

My husband stabbed himself in the hand with a piece of iron tie wire that was contaminated with standing ground water as he was fixing a drainage pipe in our yard several hours ago. Now it is really sore and he says it hurts to close his hand. He had a tetnius shot a couple years ago. Should he go to a doctor?

Hi,
He might require one shot of Tetanus toxoid stat.
If there is no wound, within a day or two he will be alright.
Give him ibuprofen for pain and soreness.
Ok and take care.
