Suggest Treatment For Soreness In Legs, Diarrhea And Headaches

I ve been feeling overheated since last Saturday. I live in Tucson, AZ, and am having a hard time going out in the heat. I ve had headaches for about one week and felt very fatigued. I ve also had sore muscles in my back and legs. Last night, for the second night in a row, I woke up with a bad headache. I also had diarrhea, which I continue to have. Medicine is not relieving my headache, which I ve almost had now for 24 hours. I ve also been sleep deprived seeing as how I have a 5-year-old, 3-year-old, and 4 month-old at home. I m not sure if I m overheated from our high temps or if I m just sleep deprived. Thanks

Hi,

Noted your detailed history about diarrhea, headache that is not responding to routine medicines, are sleep deprived due to three kids at home.
Since there is history of diarrhea with headache and intolerance to heat, the most probable cause looks to be intestinal infection.
Hence I would advise you the following situation:
Consult a Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and get the tests of stool, blood and urine.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
This will give proper diagnosis.
You may thus require a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics.
Treatment of the original disease will help to alleviate symptoms till then continue on symptomatic and supportive management. Tell your Doctor that you have 4 month old child and if you are breastfeeding to give the medicines that are safe for the child.
