I woke up yesterday with a very sore left foot but have no recent activity or injury that caused it. I ve had this before and normally it goes away once I ve walked around but this time it hasn t. It does not appear to be swelling or discolored so not sure what it could be. Any ideas?

It may be because of arthritis or anything involving tendons,fascia If I were your treating doctor,I recommend, -Analgesics like ibuprofen twice for 3-4 days. -Apply ice packs locally. -Wear well fitting shoes with good cushion at sole. -Can have muscle stretching exercises of foot.
If symptoms persists or worsens beyond 4-5 days,visit to orthopaedician for further management.Clinical examination,Xray of foot and blood tests will be necessary. Hope this information helps. Thanks
