Suggest Treatment For Sores In Lip,tongue And Jaws ?

I develop these sores on my lip and tongue and even occasionally on the sides of my jaws that look like ulcers but are not that sore. It can take up to 5-6 days for them to go away. They do not appear raw. I have cut out all acidic foods as that seems to bring them on. I do have reflux and take either Protonix or Nexium but still have bouts with these sores. They comes in patches of 4 - 6 at a time. Are they a sign of Barrett's esophogus?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Sores you are taking about might be Aphthous Ulcers. These take 1-2 weeks go away by themselves or may require treatment.
It is not a sign of Barrett's Esophagus. It's cause is exactly not clear.
Protonix or Nexium are used for reduction of gastric acid production and will not help in it's treatment.
I advise you to use ointment Zytee (Choline Salicylate) locally along with Vitamin B-Complex orally.
