Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have bruising below my ankle bone on the inside of my foot and a little above the ankle where I normally have a small cluster of spider veins. This has occurred with no injury. I have been diagnosed in the past with edema of unknown etiology after being evaluated for heart, kidney, and liver problems. What would cause the bruising without injury?
Bunch of dilated veins over ankles may be due to varicose veins, issues with subcutaneous vessels of segment of particular region by inflammation or else.
It is best recommended to discuss the need of Doppler ultrasound evaluation with your doc for the same issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
