Suggest Treatment For Spinal Cord Injury

My mother has got a spinal injury due to a fall. Now she is not able to even sit. She is almost bedridden. Doctors have suggested for an injection to the spinal chord which will be done after a sedation. Will you be able to explain the process and the success rate

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. CSF or cerbebro spinal fluid aspiration is possibly being done.
2. Rarely, injections into joints is given to reduce pain. Spinal injury cannot be treated by injections alone.
3. As I am not sure about the process being carried out and the complications, your mother has, I cannot comment about the process and success rate. Do get back with clinical and radiographic details for further opinion/suggestion.
