10yr old female has extream sporadic abdominal pain, doctors say its constipation, x-ray, ultrasound, barrium enima say its not. Her bowls are slow in clearing the barrium. She has developed petichi on extremidies. Rash like bumps on elbows and lower legs. High WBC, she is anemic. She is eating and drinking very little. All cultures negative. It is not HSP. What is it?
The condition of sporadic abdomen pain with anemia, high WBC may be part of underlying immune related disorder as: - Porphyria (drug induced) - Intestine motility disorder - Underlying viral lesion manifesting clinically - Auto antibodies produced
The treatment is determined by the underlying cause, however, primary relief with: - Plenty of liquids - High fiber diet - Bulk forming laxatives - Regular aerobics - Temporary antispasmodic as drotaverine or dicylomine tablet after meals if no history of drug sensitivity
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
