Suggest Treatment For Sprained Ankle Along With Swelling And Bruising In The Ankle
Hi fell down bottom of stairs got a bad sprained ankle. No broken bones. Lots of swelling and bruising both sides of ankle grade2/3 nurse said? Happened 5 days ago. Still swollen have Walking cast boot and crutches. My question is can I take the dog for a walk in my walking boot with putting weight on my foot? It doesn t really hurt in boot? Is that ok or would it cause further damage? Or delay healing?

As rightly thought of the sprain has still got some internal inflammation and needs rest.
However light mobility can be tried with a crepbandage on.
Please also add a regular cold compress in addition to the medications to combat the internal swelling.
Please take care of rest of the foot for another 5 days if possible.
