General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, she may need to have PET scan to see for extent of spread of cancer cells and whether it has metastasized to distant places or not. If so targeted therapy may not be possible and oncologist may opt for supportive therapy.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
