Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Chest Pain
i m 19 years old and have been prescribed metoprolol to deal with heart palpitations until i see my cardiologist and get a proper check up next month. i recently experienced a stabbing chest pain that lasted 3-5 seconds to the left of my sternum. i then experienced sweat and dizziness. the pain subsided over about 10 seconds. should i call an ambulance

I really appreciate your concern, without knowing the cause of your symptoms it is not advisable to start the drug which related with cardiac disease or for hemodynamic system, in my opinion better to stop the Metoprolol until you get done the test, but this may not be heart related problem, hope this information helps.
