Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Pain In Foot And Toe
I started having some stabbing pain in my foot and toe (not in the joints). I m an extremely fit 47 year old woman. It s not an injury. Any idea on what it should be. I m concerned because I ve never felt this kind of stabbing pain before. Thank you.
The problem is most likely planter fascitis and you need to change your shoes. Get ortho sole and try avoiding flat shoes. NSAIDs like ibuprofen and over the counter analgesics like acetaminophen will also help. However you should also get some blood tests like uric acid, serum calcium and vitamin D levels done to rule out other conditions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
