My husband has stage4 melanoma in his stomach, he has been on Ketruda for the last 3 or 4 months. The cancer has not responded to this treatment . They are gonna change his treatments because he has the BRAF gene. The last couple of days he has had very dark, black stool. What should I do?
Doctors may use traditional methods to treat stage 4 melanoma. These include surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Newer methods of treatment for stage 4 melanoma include immunotherapy and targeted therapy. People with melanoma who have this mutated gene can use targeted therapy drugs called BRAF inhibitors.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
