Suggest Treatment For Stinging Pain During Urination After Scratching Labia Minora
My vagina does get itchy sometimes, and I do scratch it, and I do end up scratching too hard. Which leads to giving myself a little scratch or cut it will bleed a little. But this time I scratched the labia minora right below the hymen, and now when I pee it stings really bad, and I m scared to use the restroom. Will it be okay and will it heal? Yes when I ve done this before I do pee on the open scratch or cut it will hurt but not as bad as it does now
Abrasion on skin when exposed to urine may cause irritation and burning sensation. I would advise you to apply a local antibiotic ointment like Neosporin over the area. I also would advise you to visit a gynecologist and get yourself examined for the cause of itching. It could be a fungal or protozoal infection which would need a specific treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
