Hi,
According to your description the possibilities are:
- As you had four months of
amenorrhea, there is possibility of excessive growth of endometrium. That can lead to excessive bleeding and cramping pain while passing the
blood clots ad endometriotic tissue.
- According to your history and weight there is possibility of
hormonal imbalance like PCOD leading to irregular periods
- But other possibilities like
adenomyosis and fibroids should also be ruled out as you are having pain with bleeding.
Now with your doctor's advice please go for
ultrasound once, which will help in finding the possible cause of your problem. You can continue
Trapic MF as suggested by your doctor which will help in controlling the bleeding and the pain, but as that is alone may not be sufficient in your case according to your description. So, better to use
progesterone tablets along with them to control the bleeding.
Progesterone tablets twice a day foe one week can help to control the bleeding, followed by one a day for two weeks cam help to regularize the cycles. But you should not skip the tablet or alter the intake time, which can lead to withdrawal bleeding. Your follow this with your doctor's advice.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
