Suggest Treatment For Stomach Cramps After Intercourse

Hello, i have a question regarding my mirena. I had kind of unusual rough intercourse the other night then my stomache started cramping. I noticed tonight the strings of my mirena is hanging out my vagina and i had clear mucus with a spot of pink blood. Should i go to the E R imediately or can i wait until tomorrow?

Hi,

Generally, you should be able to feel their IUD strings when they insert their fingers into their vagina. Sometimes, the strings may be difficult to feel because they are too short or have become curled.

In case you are able to see the strings clearly through vagina,there are high chances of misplacement of mirena. Abdominal cramps can also occur due to displaced IUD. I would suggest you to visit your gynaecologist and replace the IUD as soon as possible.
