Suggest Treatment For Stomach Flu, Vomiting And Diarrhea

Hi my mom has been going through i think a stomach flu for 2 weeks and she had been vomiting, couldnt eat or digest food, diarrhea and stomach is bloated, she just took Gravol this evening and there was a time she breathe with she said something she can feel at her back and at her chest . Her body is weak but she still goes to work. We ve been to the ER three times last week and have been to our family doctor 2 times. Our family doctor took her stool, urine and blood tests and took a part of her skin because she had had rashes all over her body. The result will be back in 3 weeks. But im wondering if this is normal or what this could be? What shall we do?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of stomach flu, vomiting and diarrhea. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many other reasons like electrolyte imbalance, acute gastritis, viral infection or due to food intolerance. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination. Doctor will take history and order blood test. Doctor may prescribe antiviral drug like acyclovir for at least 5 days along with anti inflammatory and antipyretic medications. You should avoid intake of outside food. You should take oral rehydrating solution as well. For now do proper rest because rest is important in case of viral infection and apply warm compresses on body. You should do tepid sponging if fever levels are high. Avoid intake of outside food.
