Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain After A Double Knee Replacement Surgery
I had double knee replacement early November, and the Oxycodon medicine has messed up my stomach. I finally resolved the constipation, but every time I eat anything, my stomach hurts. I am living on yogurt and saltines. Is there anything I can do to help it. I am also taking Pepsid to try to help.
As per your history is concerned ,please follow my advise below:
1) Do a breath test for H pylori infection 2) Do an ENDOSCOPE of GI tract to see stomach lining 3) Take [MONOCLAR tablet-500 mg]twice a day for 14 days and Flagyl -500mg twice a day for 14 days 4) Take [3a-PAN D tab] once a day 5) Take [ANTACID chewable tablets] three times per day 6) Wash hands before you take foods
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.
Thanks, Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
