Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain, Fever, Chills And Sleeplessness

Our son, 30, has been experiencing severe stomach pain, fever, chills and sleeplessness going into the 5th day now. He saw our GP today as he tried to go to work, but was dizzy and feeling weak, feverish and sick. The GP ordered blood tests ... we are very concerned. He is healthy and fit and has no past medical concerns. ??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The diarrhea have not been resolved in five days. t seems to be due to bacterial infection of stomach mucosa mostly. I suggest you investigate his stool analysis report as well along with CBC. He needs to be given antibiotic course as well. Give him lots of water and vital Z like electrolyte powder. Don't give him excess spicy foods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
