Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain, constipation And Diarrhea

My mom has been sick for the last 5 months. She has lost over 30lbs, very severe stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea, puking and fluid on her legs and face. She has had about every blood test and procedure that can be done it seems like. She had her gall bladder taken out in January and just recently had a surgery hoping to find a blockage or something but really did not find what they were hoping to find. They are now sending her back to a GI doctor. Any clue to what this could be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* constipation, diarrhea, stomach ache, weight loss indicate absolute GI pathology as inflammation or else.

* The swelling legs indicate protein loss or deficiency giving alteration in plasma oncotic pressure and edema secondary to that.

I would like to review all available reports with you to discuss the issue in greater depth ahead during follow up chat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
