I have recently been taking an increased dose of sulfasalazine ( 2 tabs twicw a day ) as opposed to two in the morning only. Over the weekend I experienced severe stomach upset or what seemed like a stomach upset. the pain was central and below my bra line which I had to remove as I could not stand the pressure of the band. the pain remained throughout the day , I made a ginger and hot water drink and sipped that and warm water throughout the day. The pain eventually got less and by the time I went to bed was just a discomfort. The thing that confused me was that I had eatena cheese and onion omelette earlier aprox a couple of hours before the pain started so I think it may have been that but I have only eaten light meals ( fish and rice pudding , not together of course )since . I seem OK now but am very wary of resuming my medication or of eating normally. Thankyou.
